What recommendations do
When a customer is close to a threshold, the fastest way to get them across it is to suggest something to add. EZ AOV Boost shows a row of recommended products right in the cart, next to the progress bar, with one-tap add-to-cart.
Choose a recommendation source
Three sources are available:
- Smart (Shopify recommendations) — Shopify's recommendation engine picks related products based on what's in the cart. Zero maintenance.
- Hand-picked products — you choose exactly which products to suggest.
- Collection — products are pulled from a collection you select (e.g. a "Add-ons under $15" collection).
Set it up
- Open EZ AOV Boost and go to Recommendations.
- Toggle recommendations on.
- Pick a source (smart, hand-picked, or collection).
- Set how many products to show (1–12).
- Optionally customize the heading text shown above the row.
- Save.
Per-tier recommendations
You can override the source per reward tier. For example: below the first tier, show inexpensive add-ons; near your $100 tier, show premium products. Tiers without an override use the global setting.
Products that are out of stock or unavailable are filtered out automatically, and items already in the cart aren't recommended again.
