A/B testing & analytics
Stop guessing your thresholds — test them and measure the results.
Threshold A/B testing
An experiment runs your current tier thresholds (variant A) against an alternative set of threshold amounts (variant B) on live traffic, then tells you which one produces a higher average order value.
Start an experiment
- Open EZ AOV Boost and go to the A/B testing section.
- Enter the variant B threshold amounts. Only the amounts change — reward types and values stay the same, so the comparison is fair.
- Start the experiment.
How assignment works
- Each cart is deterministically assigned to variant A or B — the same visitor always sees the same thresholds, so the experience is consistent across page views.
- Orders are tagged with their variant so results attribute revenue to the right side.
- Carts opened before the experiment started keep the thresholds they first saw.
Read the results and finish
- The experiment card shows orders, revenue, and average order value per variant.
- Results become meaningful at roughly 30+ orders per variant — before that, treat differences as noise.
- Stop ends the experiment and keeps your current (variant A) thresholds.
- Promote B ends the experiment and applies the variant B amounts to your live tiers in one click.
Editing your live tiers while an experiment is running ends the experiment automatically — the comparison would no longer be valid.
Threshold Advisor
The Threshold Advisor analyzes your store's recent order values and recommends a data-driven threshold, so your first tier isn't a guess.
- Needs at least 100 recent orders to make a recommendation.
- The suggestion is based on your median order value, positioned to be reachable but still a stretch.
- Apply adds the recommendation as a disabled 10%-off tier you can review, adjust, and enable when ready — nothing changes on your storefront until you enable it.
Analytics
The Analytics page covers:
- Engagement — progress bar views, threshold completions, gift interactions, and checkout starts.
- Sales impact — orders and revenue attributed to carts that interacted with the app, plus average order value trends.
- Feature breakdowns — how each pillar (cart minimum, tiers, recommendations) is performing.
- Daily trends — charted day-by-day, exportable as CSV.
